  1. Matthew 13-15

I love the parable Jesus taught about the mustard seed. Basically what it is saying, is that even though we may be just one person living for God, if we continue to walk and grow in Him, our faith will become evident to everyone. We will become like the mustard, the smallest seed at first, then when we continue to grow we become like a big tree.

In chapter 15 Jesus replied to the Pharisees says :" You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: "These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men."
It reminds me of what Micah spoke of in church today, We can be putting on a mask in front of all of our church friends, and tear other people down who are doing the same things we are, when in reality we are doing the same things and being hypocrites in our faith. God wants a real relationship with us. Not a fake one that we show everyone else in church. We can’t separate God from our everyday lives, He is not intended only for the church. He created us, he loves us, and he died the worst death imaginable so we could live with Him forever. Don’t be a Pharisee.

  2. Meaghan, this is really awesome stuff! It is amazing how God can use our little faith to help us continue to grow until it becomes like a big tree. The more we rely on God the more we can trust in him, because we begin to realize just how faithful He is to us. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Keep them coming!

  3. I've heard the mustard thing so many times, but I never thought about the growth for the reason of other people seeing it. I always just thought - yea, our faith gets bigger. Very cool thought :) write more, i love it :)
